The Effective Crisis Communication and Management Programme brings together the information and tools needed to gain an understanding of both planning for a crisis and management during a crisis, defining and identifying a crisis and other critical concepts, crafting a basic crisis operational plan and crisis communications strategy and plan.
This course guides communicators through the process of developing a crisis communications plan and gives practical examples of how to message during a crisis and filter lessons learnt from an incident to improve the crisis communications response.
The course will also assist participants in identifying situations that may likely develop into a crisis and determine the steps needed to avert the development of a smouldering situation into a full-blown crisis.
