Lok Jack GSB launches Business Roundtable Series
UWI Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business has developed a new series of webinars called
the Business Roundtable Series. This monthly event takes place online, and features several
Caribbean business leaders, alumni and faculty, as they discuss the hard issues facing business
in the Caribbean, and their views on how it should be addressed.
The inaugural Business Roundtable takes place on May 19th, 2021 at 12 noon (EST), and can be
viewed LIVE on the School’s Facebook page. The theme for this month is “The Future of Work
and a Sustainable Caribbean Society”. The discussion will be led by The UWI Lok Jack GSB
Faculty, Dr. Jan Sookram, and features a panel of experts including Dr. Paula Thomas, Stephen
Sheppard and Curt Wellington .
The Business Roundtable Series is the brainchild of Mariano Browne, CEO and Dr. Ron
Sookram, Academic Director of The UWI Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business. This event
is meant to provide a forum for Caribbean organisations in the private and public sector to
share their experiences, and discuss solutions for shared problems in business across industries
and markets. Future Lok Jack GSB Business Roundtables will discuss themes of industrial
relations governance, the modernization of regional financial systems and the Caribbean
economy in a post pandemic world.
