About

Vernon Henry has had an outstanding career in procurement and supply chain management, having worked in that field at the managerial level for over thirty (30) years. He worked both in the private sector and in state enterprises and his experience spanned a number of industries including manufacturing, energy, construction and financial services.

The last position he held was that of Senior Manager, Procurement at RBC Financial (Caribbean) Limited. In that position he enjoyed negotiating major contracts with international service providers and negotiating challenging supplier consent agreements to facilitate the divestment of two regional banks within the group. Currently, he is an Adjunct Faculty member at the Lok Jack Global School of Business where he facilitates supply chain related courses.

He is knowledgeable and skilled in the areas of contract management, negotiations, logistics, procurement, strategic management and supply chain management. He obtained the internationally recognized MCIPS professional certification from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and a Diploma in Supply Chain Management from International Trade Centre. He graduated from the University of the West Indies with a BSc in Management Studies and a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration. He also holds an MBA from Andrews University, Michigan and a Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education from Greenwich University, London. It is this combination of learning and experience that he brings to his tutoring.

As a volunteer, he serves as Vice Chair of the CIPS Trinidad & Tobago Branch and is very instrumental in transforming this organisation into the CIPS Caribbean Branch. He also serves as Chairman of the Stone Throw Foundation.
