Mirza Ali-Mohammed is the Principal Consultant of Caribbean Training and Development (CTD) Limited where he provides consulting and training services in leadership, management and human resources.
Mirza brings a wealth of experience as a practitioner and as a manager in small and large organizations across several sectors. He has served in several capacities associated with Human Resources and Training & Development. His immediate past position was Divisional Manager, Human Resources and Student Affairs at the National Energy Skills Center. Prior to that he served at Petrotrin as a Senior Human Resource Analyst.
Mirza has conducted Training & Development interventions for many companies locally and in several English-speaking islands of the Caribbean. He has served as Adjunct Faculty at UWI Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business since 2009. Mirza teaches courses in: Conflict Management, Effective Business Writing, Proposal Writing, Negotiation Skills, Developing Organisational Training Plans, Investigative Interviewing, Strategic Thinking & Decision Making and Technical Report Writing.
Mirza also facilitates Training Courses at the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) and for the last ten years, has been the Chief Examiner for Religious Education with the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC). He also serves as a Director of an NGO involved in social work. Additionally, he has worked with Civil Society Organisations and Community Groups in an advisory capacity and as a Training facilitator.
He is a graduate in Mass Communications from UWI, Mona, Jamaica and holds an EMBA from UWI Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business. He has been certified as a Master Trainer from the National Center for Construction, Education and Research (NCCER), USA and completed post-graduate certification in Adult Business Education.
