Dr. Judith M. Mark – Doctorate of Business Administration, Toulouse Business School, France
She has been described as committed, dynamic and creative. Judith, Business Strategy Consultant, is among the long-serving faculty members at Lok Jack GSB, having been at the school for over twenty (20) years.
Her expertise gained primarily from her career in the energy, financial and property development sectors include strategic management, project management, corporate entrepreneurship, enterprise development modelling, and SME risk-based finance. Judith has held the positions of Chief Executive Officer and Board member in the state and private sectors.
She has worked on committees set up by the government of Trinidad & Tobago (T&T) on entrepreneurship and venture capital finance. In her volunteer roles she has served as Chairman, Entrepreneurship Committee, Mayaro Initiative for Private Enterprise Development (MIPED), a BPTT community initiative, and as Chairman, of the Caribbean chapter, Henley Business School Alumni Association. In 2018, she received awards from both organizations in recognition of her outstanding contributions. Judith has also served as Treasurer on the Board of a major private sector organisation in T.&T.
Judith’s teaching experience has been primarily in Innovation and Entrepreneurship where she has been continuously assessed by students as an excellent facilitator. She has co-developed content and delivered the Business Planning Workshop.
The courses facilitated by her over the years include New Venture Capital & Management, Design & Management of Innovative Start-ups, Managing Innovation, Insight Development and Innovative Product Development, Public-Private Partnerships, Business Model Innovation and Design Strategy & Innovation for Technology-based Ventures
In addition to teaching, Judith is an academic advisor for the business and corporate intervention practicums and mentor to students and select alumni. She is passionate about academia fulfilling its role by positively impacting the business landscape.
Judith holds a B.Sc. Management Studies and Post Graduate Certificate, Marketing and Consumer Behaviour from UWI, St. Augustine. She also holds an MBA in Strategic Branding & Customer Relationship Management from Henley Business School (UK) and she has completed a DBA at Toulouse Business School (France) on the topic of Entrepreneurial leadership.
She also holds Certificates in Corporate Cyber-Security, Future-Oriented Strategic Planning, Valuations, Due Diligence, Private Equity Financing, First-level Spanish, and Teaching English as a foreign language (C.E.L.T.A.).
