Taking part in the competition is so easy!

  • 1. Apply to any of the Lok Jack GSB Masters Programme for September 2023 (Application Form, CV, ID and Academic Certificates) to admissions@lokjackgsb.edu.tt
  • 2. Write Your Essay
  • 3. Submit essay on or before Friday 14th, July 2023 at 11:59pm to : essaycompetition@lokjackgsb.edu.tt

Essay Topic

Essay Guidelines

General

  • Essay must be between 1,200 – 1,500 words
  • Essay must respond to the topic/question given
  • Personal examples and insights encouraged
  • Use of analytical skills required
  • Must be original, unpublished work

Format

  • Cover page should include: Individual’s name, Contact Information (email/phone)
  • Essays must be typed, Calibri Font 12; 1.5 line spacing
  • PDF format
  • Pages must be numbered

REFERENCES

  • Use of data from valid sources (No Wikipedia) are too be referenced
  • Plagiarism will Not be tolerated
  • List of References to be included
  • The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools such as chatGPT is not allowed

OTHER

Essays are also being evaluated on:

  • Grammar
  • Organisation
  • Style and personal voice
  • Originality and clarity of content and ideas
  • Style and personal voice

Judging Criteria

Essays will be assessed by a panel of comprised on Faculty and Alumni.
