4th Industrial Revolution (4IR) implications for the Caribbean
The team is currently engaged in research related to the assessing the impact of the 4IR on growth in the Caribbean. Specifically, we are examining ways the 4IR will be impacting Caribbean territories as well as opportunities for tapping into this new potential wave of growth and development.
Regional Competitive initiative for Family Businesses
Family businesses makes up the largest organizations in the world. This unit of analysis is often not dichotomized between family businesses versus non-family business in the Caribbean. This is surprising since family business have unique characteristics and face diverse issues relative to their non-family business counterpart. The team is therefore engage in research that would identify the unique challenges family business face in Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana and Suriname. Specifically, organizational competitiveness, corporate governance and diversification will be addressed.
