About

Dr. Balraj Kistow, DBA –  The UWI, Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business, Trinidad and Tobago

Dr. Balraj Kistow is the Programme Lead for the Master in Financial Management and lecturer in the areas of International Business, Accounting and Finance at the Lok Jack GSB, UWI. He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from the Lok Jack GSB, UWI and his doctoral work focused on social responsibility within the context of family businesses.

He has previously worked in the financial and regulatory sectors. He is one the lead faculty at the Lok Jack GSB in the areas of SMEs, competitiveness, qualitative research methods and sustainability and is a Certified Level 2 Cultural Intelligence (CQ) trainer. He has been in teaching and research for over 20 years and has also been involved in distance education and e-learning for over 14 years.
He was a member of the St David Social Welfare Board under the Ministry of Social Development in Trinidad and Tobago and the Secretary Northeast Zonal Council of the 3 Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board.
He has presented at seminars and international conferences in the area of SMEs, competitiveness and sustainability. He has published in the areas of Sustainable Development, Finance and Accounting, Small Business Management and Distance Learning and is regular contributor to the leading publications in Trinidad and Tobago. His current research areas include competitiveness and productivity, family business, sustainability and culture in international business.
