This workshop is designed to provide participants with a solid grounding in both the philosophy of
procurement by tender, and an understanding of the legal and regulatory framework of the procurement process. Upon completion, participants should have an in-depth understanding of the tendering process, how to determine the rules and structure of the process, as well as how to select the procurement process most advantageous to their needs.
It allows participants to recognise the distinguishing features of Government Procurement compared with Private Sector Procurement, as well as the distinguishing legal and commercial aspects that require professional attention under both systems considering Public Procurement and Disposal of Property Act 2015.
The programme is designed to demonstrate how to ensure an equitable evaluation of all compliant bids as well as expose them to the standards and principles of ethical conduct in the tendering process.
Current issues will be highlighted such as E-Procurement and a variety of precedent setting case studies in Procurement Law will be analysed
