The transition to manager workshop aims to develop the strategic elements of management for persons who are promoted into the position of managers and emerging leaders. Skills such as communication, decision-making, conflict resolution, performance management, critical thinking, strategic thinking and building synergies with other departments will be covered in detail. Participants will leave this workshop with the competencies needed to be a new manager to ensure success at a new level in the organisation.

An often-overlooked detail in the promotion of managers and emerging leaders is that success at one level of the organization does not guarantee success at the next level. Because they must now deliver results by directing and managing the efforts of their teams in a way that produces optimal value, managers and potential leaders must now embrace a new set of competencies that must include critical thinking, strategic thinking, and the ability to build synergies other departments (systems thinking).

This 6-day online workshop will introduce persons to the strategic elements of management. The required skills of communication, decision-making, conflict resolution, performance management and defining objectives will be discussed in detail. Participants will learn the importance of managing effectively while achieving organisational goals and objectives.
