Modern BI software allows data analysts to build data models that provide concise and comprehensive reports, visualisations and dashboards that can provide historical, current, and predictive views of business operations to decision making stakeholders across the organisation.
This workshop explores the Business Intelligence (BI) landscape and provides participants with a strategic understanding of how it is used to improve organisational performance and the role that leaders, influencers or champions have to perform to support implementation and adoption.
Business Intelligence systems are data-driven decision support systems (DDSS), and BI provides the decision-making stakeholders with business process insights for performance management, resource utilisation and business process improvement.
SMEs and large organisations have a wide choice of BI software, enabling IT infrastructure and technologies that can be used to implement BI systems using Excel PowerPivot or Google data studio or other specialised desktop and cloud based BI platforms like Power BI, SAS, Sisense or IBM Cognos Analytics.
Key learning outcomes of this workshop include defining a strategic framework for implementing BI in your organisation, demonstrating awareness of the leading BI software and analytical platforms and current trends in BI and identify the data analytics and data visualisations that will provide business process insights and support faster, more effective decision making in your organisation.
