Introduction to Logistics Management Workshop

Understand the role of the primary logistics functionary in improving the competitiveness of an enterprise.

Introduction to Logistics Management

The Effective Logistics Management workshop is designed to provide participants with a solid grounding in both the operational and strategic management of logistics and the role of the primary logistics functionary in improving the competitiveness of an enterprise. Upon completion of this three day workshop participants should be able to optimise inward logistics performance, route, schedule and package, manage imports and build and maintain supply chain alliances.

Description

The workshop will expose participants to techniques on how to optimise logistics and also go beyond the standard study of logistics – intended as the science and practical management of the supply of materials – to examine and understand the various steps which may help enterprises integrate international supply chains, and performance levels, evaluate opportunities to reduce costs and minimise errors, and achieve international standards of logistics management in supply chain management.
This programme is ideal for persons with direct and indirect, operational, tactical and strategic responsibility, locally or internationally in both the private and public sector.
